Our History

The original First Presbyterian Church of Barker was chartered in 1906. In 1976, five acres on Mason Road were purchased for the growing church.

New Hope Presbyterian Katy is the oldest Presbyterian (PCUSA) Church in the Katy/West Houston area!

The original First Presbyterian Church of Barker was chartered in 1906. In 1976, five acres on Mason Road were purchased for the growing church. The building was dedicated in 1980 as New Hope Presbyterian Church, the home we share through our faith.

New Hope’s 100th birthday was celebrated in 2006 by the Rev. Belinda Windham, left, and the three oldest members: Anna Baker, 90, center; Atha Dimon, 96; and Glen Fry, 87.
